Tenable AI Exposure Licensing

Tenable AI Exposure provides visibility into the usage and risk of generative artificial intelligence (AI) applications within your organization. Licensing is designed to be simple, transparent, and based on the reach of AI tools across your workforce. Tenable AI Exposure Asset Count

Tenable AI Exposure uses a Highest Count methodology to determine your license usage. Instead of totaling users across every AI application in your environment, Tenable determines your total licensed assets by identifying the single application with the largest number of users.

For example, if your organization has 2,000 ChatGPT Enterprise users and 300 GitHub Copilot users, your billable count is 2,000.

Why It's Important

This licensing model prevents organizations from being "double-billed" for the same employees using multiple AI platforms. It enables you to expand your visibility into various generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or Claude) without incrementally increasing your license costs for every new tool discovered, provided the user base does not exceed your primary application's count.

Requirements and Considerations

• Billable Users: Billable users identified under this model do not expire.

• Asset Tracking: The system continuously monitors user counts across all connected AI applications to ensure your count is accurately reflected on the License page.

Provision Licenses

Tenable AI Exposure is an add-on component available for purchase with Tenable One Foundation and Tenable One Advanced. For more information, see Tenable One Foundation / Advanced Licensing.

Reallocate Licenses

Once you purchase the desired number of Tenable AI Exposure licenses, you can allocate them to specific containers via the Tenable Account Management portal.

To reallocate Tenable AI Exposure licenses:

1. Log into Tenable Account Management portal.

2. On the Products tab, reallocate licenses across your containers as desired. You must log in to the portal and have product access to view the products and activation codes.
