Change Another User's Password

To change the password for another user's account, you must be an administrator. To change your own password, see Change Your Password.

Required User Role: Administrator

To change another user's password in the new interface:

  1. In the upper-left corner, click the button.

    The left navigation plane appears.

  2. In the left navigation plane, click Settings.

    The Settings page appears.

  3. Click the Users widget.

    The Users page appears. This page contains a table that lists all users for your Tenable.io instance.

  4. In the users table, click the name of the user that you want to edit.

    The Edit User plane appears.

  5. In the New Password box, type a new password.
  6. Note: Passwords must be at least 12 characters long and contain the following:

    • An uppercase letter
    • A lowercase letter
    • A number
    • A special character
  7. Click Save.

    Tenable.io saves the new password for the user account.
