Delete a Tag in the Classic Interface
Required User Role: Scan Operator, Standard, Scan Manager, or Administrator
When you delete a tag, Tenable.io removes the tag from all assets where you applied the tag.
To delete one or more tags:
To Delete One Tag:

In the top navigation bar, click Settings.
The About page appears.

In the left navigation bar, click Tags.
The Tags page appears.

In the tags table, click the
button next to the tag you want to delete. -
Click Delete Tag Value.
The Delete Tag window appears.

Click Delete to confirm the deletion.
To Delete Multiple Tags:

In the top navigation bar, click Settings.
The About page appears.

In the left navigation bar, click Tags.
The Tags page appears.

Select the check boxes next to the tags you want to delete.

Click the Delete button in the upper right corner of the page.
The Delete Tags window appears.

Click Delete to confirm the deletion.
