Push a Container Image to Tenable.io Container Security

Required User Role: Scan Operator, Standard, Scan Manager, or Administrator

Use Docker commands to download the image from the external registry where it resides and import it to Tenable.io Container Security.

Before you begin:

To push container image to Tenable.io Container Security:

  1. Tag the container image for the Tenable.io Container Security registry.

    For example:

    $ docker tag rabbitmq:latest registry.cloud.tenable.com/rabbitmq/rabbitmq:latest

    Note: By default, images are automatically pushed to Docker's central registry. When you tag an image with registry.cloud.tenable.com, you can push the image to the Tenable.io Container Security registry.

  2. Use the docker push command to push the tagged image to Tenable.io Container Security.

    docker push registry.cloud.tenable.com/alpine:latest

    The push refers to a repository [registry.cloud.tenable.com/rabbitmq/rabbitmq] (len: 1)
