Industrial Security Cascading

Industrial Security cascading allows the user to link two or more instances of IS to another instance of IS in a parent-child relationship. Once the child is linked to the parent instance, the child instance of IS appears as a sensor on the parent instance. Additionally, assets from the child instance appear on the parent instance, but do not count against the parent instance's license account.

To configure IS cascading:

  1. On the parent instance, navigate to SettingsSensor Configuration.
  2. Copy the Linking Key.

  3. On the child instance, navigate to SettingsApplication.

  4. In the Industrial Security Parent Host field, type the IP address of the parent Industrial Security instance.
  5. In the Industrial Security Parent Port field, type the port of the parent Industrial Security instance.
  6. In the Industrial Security Parent Linking Key field, enter the previously copied linking key of the parent Industrial Security instance.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Navigate to SettingsFeed.
  9. From the Fetch Plugins From drop-down box, select Industrial Security.

  10. Click Save.

The child instance of Industrial Security appears as a sensor on the Sensor Configuration page and any assets from the child instance appear on the Monitoring page.
