Reset a Locked Account

To reset a locked account, the locked user's password must be changed. This can be accomplished from the command line by executing the following as an administrator:

Operating System

Command

Linux

/opt/industrial-security/bin/industrial-security --users --chpasswd <username> "<new password>"

Windows

C:\Program Files\Tenable\Industrial Security\industrial-security --users --chpasswd <username> "<new password>"

An administrator can change the locked out user's password from the Industrial Security web client. See Modify a User Account.
