Plugin Families and Plugins
The Cisco Meraki Integration can be used to collect credentials to access Cisco Meraki Dashboard.
Expected plugins to collect credentials and devices data:
Cisco Meraki Settings: Plugin # 237713: Set Cisco Meraki Integration authentication settings to perform authenticated security checks
Cisco Meraki Data Collection: Plugin # 237714: Collects Cisco Meraki Device data from the Cisco Meraki Dashboard host using the REST APIs
Debug Log Reporting
Plugin #84239: Debugging Log Report. Logs generated by other plugins are reported by this plugin. Plugin debugging must be enabled in the policy in order for this plugin to run.
The plugins that call Cisco Meraki integration are:
-
Cisco Meraki Settings: cisco_meraki_settings.nasl
-
Cisco Meraki Data Collection: cisco_meraki_collect.nasl
When "Discover Devices" is enabled in the Cisco Meraki credential, Nessus doesn't need every target IP to query the Meraki Dashboard independently. It performs a global query once.
For those hosts not configured as the target, cisco_meraki_collect.nasl plugin generates following message: Data collection previously executed. Please refer to logs on host $TARGET
The message means that this specific host (the "non-target") is skipping the collection phase because the data has already been fetched by the designated collection host.
