Unlink a Tenable Nessus Agent

When you manually unlink an agent, the agent disappears from the manager's linked agent listing, but the system retains related data for the period of time specified in agent settings. When you manually unlink an agent, the agent does not automatically relink to either Tenable Nessus Manager or Tenable Vulnerability Management.

Unlinking an agent does not stop the agent service itself; the agent continues running on its host.

Tip: Unlinking an agent refers to the act of removing the connection between the agent and it's manager, whether that be Tenable Nessus Manager or Tenable Vulnerability Management. If you want to remove or uninstall an agent from your machine, see Remove Tenable Nessus Agent.
