Tenable Vulnerability Management Platform Release Notes - July 2018

Important Highlights from this Release

Centralized Credential Management

Centralized Credential Management (CCM) allows for credentials to be centrally defined independently of the scans that they are used in.

  • Define credentials once, and use them in many different scans. Updating credentials, will update them in any scan in which they are used.
  • Share permission to use and edit credentials with users or groups that need them for scanning.
  • Credentials Management can be found under Settings → Credentials.

Customer Preview of New Interface

We have enabled a preview of the new interface that is under development, so you can begin to familiarize yourself with the changes that are coming to Tenable Vulnerability Management.

  • Currently the Vulnerability Management Overview dashboard and Vulnerability Grids are available in the new interface, with new pages and features being continuously added over time.
  • To try it out, click the New Interface button next to Settings, or the New Interface link in the Application Switcher to the right of the Tenable Vulnerability Management icon. To return to the classic interface, access the navigation menu in the top left of the new interface, and click Classic Interface.

Web App Scanning

  • Improved Plugin detection and logic for Cross-Domain Policy Plugins
  • Fixed issues where some customers were noticing scans were taking too long to stop and return results

ServiceNow Integration

  • New Tenable App for Splunk provides an overview dashboard pre-configured for Tenable vulnerability information gathered by the Add-On
  • Both available in Splunkbase for free
Note: The Splunk for Tenable app is similar sounding but not developed by Tenable
