View Asset Activity

The following feature is only available in Tenable FedRAMP Moderate environments.

Required Tenable Vulnerability Management User Role: Basic, Scan Operator, Standard, Scan Manager, or Administrator

In the asset Activity tab, you can view asset history to help you troubleshoot issues. You can see when your asset was discovered, seen, updated, tagged, or deleted, and relevant metadata about the activity. You can also search the asset activity log.

To view asset activity:

  1. In the upper-left corner, click the Menu button.

    The left navigation plane appears.

  2. In the left navigation plane, in the Asset View section, click Assets.

    The Assets page appears.

  3. In the assets table, click the asset where you want to view details.

    The asset details page appears.

  4. Click the Activity tab.

    The asset activity events table appears.

  5. Do the following:

    1. (Optional) Search for specific events by Event value. For more information, see Tenable Vulnerability Management Tables.

    2. Click an event row to view more details.

      The Activity details plane appears and shows metadata for the event. Depending on the event, the metadata can include information such as:

      • the scan that generated the event
      • the event date
      • properties that were changed on the asset
      • the user who performed the action.

    Tip: To view the scan that generated an Asset Discovered, Asset Seen, or Asset Updated event, click the link to the scan under Seen by.
