Delete a Tag

Required Tenable Vulnerability Management User Role: Scan Manager or Administrator

When you delete a tag, Tenable Vulnerability Management removes that specific tag from all assets where you applied the tag.

To delete one or more tags:

1. In the upper-left corner, click the button.

   The left navigation plane appears.

2. In the left navigation plane, click Settings.

   The Settings page appears.

3. Click the Tagging tile.

   The Tags page appears. On this page, you can view your asset tag categories and values.

   The Categories tab is active.

4. Click the Values tab.
5. To delete one tag:

   1. In the tags table, roll over the tag you want to delete.

      The action buttons appear in the row.

   2. Click the Delete button.

      A confirmation window appears.

   To delete multiple tags:

   1. In the tags table, select the check box for each tag you want to delete.

      The action bar appears at the bottom of the page.

   2. In the action bar, click the Delete button.

      A confirmation window appears.

6. Click Confirm.

   Tenable Vulnerability Management deletes the tag and removes it from all assets where you applied the tag.
