Start or Pause a Scan

Required User Role: Organizational user with appropriate permissions. For more information, see User Roles.

To start or pause a scan or synchronization job:

1. Log in to Tenable Security Center.

2. Click one of the following:

   • Scans > Active Scans (to manage active scans)

   • Scans > Agent Synchronization Jobs (to manage agent synchronization jobs)

   • Scans > Agent Scans (to manage agent scans)

     Note: You cannot pause agent scans in Tenable Security Center.

   • Scans > Scan Results (to manage a scan from the results page).

3. Do one of the following:

   • To pause the scan or synchronization job, click the pause button on the right side of the scan or synchronization job row.

   • To start the scan or synchronization job, click the start button on the right side of the scan or synchronization job row.
