New Features and Changed Functionality

  • You can now use a remote storage target that is running rsync on Cygwin.

  • Tenable Security Center SSH keys are now created, if missing, when the Tenable Security Center service is started.
  • Offline ISO images are now mounted with improved security controls.
  • New remote storage configurations are now tested upon save by sending a test file to the destination. Tenable Core displays errors, but allows you to save the non-working configuration in order to support configuring Tenable Core before the remote host is fully ready.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where migrations from Tenable Appliance hung at the 'Reinstalling and restarting the migrated application' step.

  • Tenable Core no longer adds a GPT entry to disks that have neither a GPT nor an MBR partition table, which caused issues for manually created physical volumes.

  • Resolved an issue that prevented you from restoring backups with certain disk layouts.

  • Resolved an issue where updating Nessus rules or Nessus user-rules from the Tenable Core UI caused Nessus to restart automatically. Now, you must restart Nessus manually before using the updated rules.

  • Resolved an issue with downgrading application versions in offline environments.

  • Updates to the Tenable Core backups packages no longer reenable the automated backup service if you previously disabled it.

  • Resolved an issue that prevented you from saving a remote storage configuration if the destination path was left blank. Tenable Core now handles a blank path by putting files in the home directory of the remote user.

Application Updates

  • Tenable Security Center 5.14.1

  • Nessus 8.10.1
  • Tenable Nessus Network Monitor5.11.1
