Tenable Vulnerability Management Platform Release Notes - August 2021

Important Highlights from this Release

Tenable Vulnerability Management

  • You can now edit some Nessus Agent settings on the Agents Settings page. You can set log levels, performance levels, update plans, and hostname updates for one or more agents at a time. The settings are applied the next time the Agent checks in with Tenable Vulnerability Management.

  • When you export an Agents list on the Agents Settings page, you can now select agents to export. If you do not select any Agents, Tenable Vulnerability Management will export all Agents by default. The Classic interface can only export all Agent records.

  • When you link a Nessus Agent, it creates an asset record in Tenable Vulnerability Management prior to the first scan. The asset record includes operating system information, network information, and the Tenable UUID.

For more information, see Linked Scanners in the Tenable Vulnerability Management User Guide.

  • Dashboards - Previously, when you searched for a Dashboard or Widget in your Library, Tenable Vulnerability Management only searched for matching text in the title. By customer request, Tenable Vulnerability Management now searches for matching text in the title and description, making the search more relevant, reliable, and usable.

  • Splunk - Added support for fedcloud.tenable.com and improved CIM parsing, per Splunk's recommendations.

  • The Notifications panel is a convenient place to view and manage all your in-session ephemeral system notifications. To see your notifications, in the upper-right corner, click the bell button.

For more information, see View Notifications in the Tenable Vulnerability Management User Guide.
