Add a Host

To add a new host:

Note: You can add as many hosts to the Dashboard as you want.

1. Hover over the far-left navigation bar.

2. in the upper-left, next to your <user name>@ name, click the icon.

   The Hosts drop down menu appears.

3. Click Add new host.

   The Add new host window appears.

4. In the Host field, type the hostname, IP address, alias name, or ssh:// URI for the host you want to add.

5. In the User name field, type the user name for the host you want to add. If left empty, the system connects with the current user.

6. In the Color field, click the color you want to represent the host.

7. Click Add.

   A confirmation window appears.

   Note: If Tenable Core cannot establish authentication, the Unknown Host window appears. Contact your administrator to confirm your server's name or IP address.

8. Click Connect.

   A credentials window appears.

9. Type your credentials in the User name and Password fields.

10. Click Log In.

    Tenable Core adds the host to your list of hosts in the Hosts table.

    Note: If the host does not appear in the list right away, refresh your browser.
