Common Query Builder Actions

All Tenable Vulnerability Management workbench tables allow for more per-row data details, table searching, column management such as resizing and hiding or showing columns, and contextual actions on table data, including bulk actions such as Export and Delete.

The Details Page (Drill Down)

Clicking any row item such as a Recast Rule or Finding opens a details panel. This allows you to view deep-dive context without losing your filtered list in the main table.

Actions per Table Item

When working with a single row in a table, you can access a contextual menu of actions specific to that data type, for example, an export, a scan, or a report.

To see a menu of actions, do one of the following:

  • Right-Click — Right-click anywhere on a row.

  • Action Bar — Click the check box for a single row.

An action bar appears in the table header.

Select an action from the buttons shown or click More More to see additional actions.

  • Action Column (More) — Click the vertical ellipsis in the last column of the row.

The specific actions available depend on the table you are viewing. For example, right-clicking a finding will allow you to Recast that finding.

Other examples of query builder tables with context-specific actions include:

  • Explore > Assets

  • Explore > Findings

  • Recast

  • Exposure Response Initiatives

Bulk Operations

When you select multiple rows via check boxes, an action bar appears in the table header that allows for a bulk operation. Specific actions vary by specific query builder tables. For example,

Export — Download the data from the selected rows to a file (typically CSV or PDF).

Add Tags — Add tags to assets.
