Tenable Enclave Security 1.7.0 Release Notes (2025-12-2)

Tenable Enclave Security 1.7 is now available, featuring Exposure Response in Container Security.

Tenable Enclave Security 1.7 introduces Exposure Response, a new section in Container Security that allows you to create initiatives to track critical exposures and your response to them.

In the Exposure Response section, you can:

  • Create initiatives — Add and assign initiatives; apply SLAs, target specific vulnerabilities.

  • Manage initiatives — Review initiatives on customizable dashboards.

  • Custom query builder — Drill down to specific findings or assets, and create combinations.

  • Added support for self-signed certificates and SSL mode for Tenable Enclave Security connections

    • This update allows you to use self-signed certificates with registries and Tenable Enclave Security, and enables the Container Security scanner to successfully connect to certificate-authenticated TES endpoints by accepting certificate details via command-line arguments.

  • Added SSL mode support for PostgreSQL connections in Tenable Enclave Security

    • This enhancement ensures that the connection between Tenable Enclave Security and the PostgreSQL database can be secured using SSL.

Tenable Enclave Security 1.6.1 Release Notes (2025-10-15)

Tenable Enclave Security 1.6.1 is now available, featuring security and stability fixes and improved PostgreSQL connections.

This release aligns with Container Security 1.6 and Tenable Security Center 6.6.4.

  • Tenable Enclave Security Fixes

    • Fixed an issue in the Tenable Enclave Security helm chart that prevented global affinity settings from being correctly passed to database initialization jobs.

  • Tenable Security Center Fixes

    • Corrected the Tenable Security Center helm chart to ensure proper use of nodeSelector and tolerations for deployment configurations.

    • Fixed an issue in Tenable Security Center that caused connectivity problems with PostgreSQL when SSL was required.

    • Fixed an issue that prevented Tenable Security Center from deploying correctly in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) versions 1.30.14 and later.

  • Container Security Fixes

    • Fixed an issue in Container Security where the scanner configuration contained an incorrect URL when a Load Balancer was provisioned as a Virtual IP (VIP).

Tenable Enclave Security 1.6.0 Release Notes (2025-8-14)

Tenable Enclave Security 1.6 is now available, featuring major scalability enhancements, performance improvements, and critical bug fixes to improve both backend efficiency and user experience.

Scalability and Data Storage Upgrades

  • Horizontal Scalability for tes-consec-scan and tes-consec-tvdl Services

    • The tes-consec-scan and tes-consec-tvdl services can now scale horizontally, enabling improved performance and resilience under heavy workloads.

    • Migrated storage from PVC to PostgreSQL for better reliability and scalability.

  • Policy Management

  • Improved Asset Deletion Handling

    • Reduced transient errors such as “deadlock detected” during asset deletion operations.

  • OOM Fix for Container Security Agent

    • Resolved out-of-memory issues when scanning large container registries.

  • Ingestion Reliability

    • Fixed asset ingestion failures for images with very large numbers of packages.

Tenable Enclave Security 1.5.0 Release Notes (2025-5-29)

Tenable Enclave Security 1.5 is now available, introducing deployment-time assessment and improved policy management for the Container Security module, along with expanded vulnerability detection and an update to the latest Tenable Security Center version.

Deployment Assessment

The Container Security module now extends its shift-left capabilities to include container policy assessment at the point of deployment. This ensures that images being deployed to production clusters conform to internal security requirements, providing an added layer of confidence.

Policy Management

Experience a new and improved interface for managing policies for CI/CD pipelines or Kubernetes clusters. A user-friendly policy builder provides a guided flow for creating policies, setting conditions and actions, and applying scope effectively

Detection Expansion

The Container Security scanner has received a significant capability enhancement, improving coverage breadth and vulnerability detection. This includes an extended array of language libraries (for example, Go, Java, and PHP) and the detection of unpatched vulnerabilities in container images

Tenable Security Center 6.6.x Integration

Tenable Enclave Security 1.5 incorporates the latest version of Tenable Security Center, providing parallel capabilities between Tenable Security Center on-prem and Tenable Security Center in Tenable Enclave Security. This ensures users benefit from the most up-to-date Tenable Security Center features and improvements listed in Tenable Security Center 6.6.0 Release Notes (2025-05-06).

  • Fixed an issue with Search failing against Layers using the cmd criteria.

  • Fixed an issue with Container Security agent failing to perform scans under a specific configuration.

  • Improved performance when generating reports against Container Security data.

Tenable Enclave Security 1.3.0 Release Notes (2025-1-13)

Tenable Enclave Security 1.3 is now available, introducing CycloneDX SBOM export support and OpenShift deployment using Tenable-provided Helm charts.

Export container image SBOM data according to the CycloneDX format in XML or JSON format

Users can now leverage the CycloneDX standard to report on asset findings.

Deploy Tenable Enclave Security on OpenShift using Tenable-provided Helm Charts

Users now have additional guidelines and Helm Charts available to deploy Tenable Enclave Security on OpenShift.
