(Early Access) Sensor Proxy 1.4.0 (2026-04-29)

Changed Functionality and Performance Enhancements
The following new features are included in Sensor Proxy 1.4.0:

Added the ability to upload a new Certificate Authority (CA) directly to Sensor Proxy. The new CA is automatically distributed to all connected agents, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity.

Enabled NGINX SSL validation by default on new Sensor Proxy installations to ensure secure upstream communication. Tenable recommends manually enabling this setting on upgraded Sensor Proxy deployments to maintain optimal security.

Upgrade Notes

You must have Sensor Proxy version 1.0.8 or later to update to 1.4.0.

If your upgrade path skips versions of Sensor Proxy, Tenable recommends reviewing the release notes for all skipped versions. You may need to update your configurations because of features and functionality added in skipped versions.

After you upgrade to Sensor Proxy 1.4.0, downgrading to a prior version of Sensor Proxy is not supported. If you choose to do so, Tenable highly recommends backing up your system first.
