Link Tenable Core + Tenable Web App Scanning to a Tenable Management Platform

You can link your Tenable One Web App Scanning scanner to Tenable One Vulnerability Management, Tenable One Web App Scanning FedRAMP Moderate, or Tenable Security Center.

Before you begin:

  • Log in to Tenable Core in a browser, as described in Log Into Tenable Core.
  • For linking Tenable Security Center via Tenable Sensor Proxy you need to first install Tenable Sensor Proxy and link it to Tenable Security Center as described at the Install Sensor Proxy page in the Tenable Sensor Proxy documentation.

Note: If your environment requires a web proxy to reach the Tenable Management Platform, configure a web proxy connection to the internet, as described in Configure a Proxy Server.

To configure your Tenable Core + Tenable Web App Scanning link:

  1. In the left navigation menu, click Web App Scanning.

    The Tenable Management Platform Link pop-up window appears.

    Tip: Click the notepad icon icon next to the Tenable Management Platform URL: option to reopen the window.

  2. In the Linking Key: box, type your Tenable One Vulnerability Management or Tenable Security Center linking key.

    Note: To retrieve your Tenable One Vulnerability Management linking key, log in to your instance and navigate to Settings > Sensors > Web Application Scanners > Add Web Application Scanner. On the pop-out tab, your linking key appears. For Tenable Security Center instances the path is: Resources> Web Applications Scanners> Add

  3. In the Scanner Name: box, type a name for your scanner as you want it to appear in Tenable One Vulnerability Management or Tenable Security Center.
  4. In the Tenable Management Platform URL: box, do one of the following

    • For Tenable One Vulnerability Management, type https://sensor.cloud.tenable.com.

    • For Tenable Web App Scanning FedRAMP Moderate, type https://fedcloud.tenable.com.

    • For Tenable Security Center type https://<sensor_proxy_host> where sensor_proxy_host is the hostname or IP address of your installed Tenable Sensor Proxy.

  5. (Optional) If you configured a web proxy for Tenable Core to connect to Tenable One Vulnerability Management select the Connect Using Proxy: check box.

  6. Click Activate Scanner.

    A success message appears and your Tenable One Web App Scanning scanner appears in the scanner list on Tenable One Vulnerability Management or Tenable Security Center.
