Web Application Authentication Credentials Improvement
Tenable has released updated authentication credentials for Tenable Web App Scanning. Login parameter values in scan credential configurations are no longer hidden by default. You can now mark each parameter as Text (visible) or Password (masked after saving) using a dropdown selector. A warning banner reminds you that password values must be re-entered to make changes.
This feature allows non-sensitive parameters like usernames stay visible for easy management, while sensitive values like passwords remain protected. Existing credential configurations continue to work without changes.
