Tenable is pleased to announce the General Availability of the ability to filter Tenable Web App Scanning findings by tags. In the Tenable Web App Scanning Findings view, you can now select Tags (searchable in the query builder) as a filter for returned results. In the Tenable Vulnerability Management Explore Findings view for Tenable Web App Scanning you can now use the Asset Tag filter to the same effect. This enables your workflows and makes it easier for you to find the data you're looking for quickly.

Note: Product features that are unauthorized for FedRAMP will not be added to FedRAMP environments as part of this effort.

Tenable is pleased to announce the General Availability of Remediation Scanning! This enables you to validate fixed vulnerabilities without having to re-run a full WAS scan in your Tenable Web App Scanning workflows. This closes a significant gap between our Tenable Web App Scanning and Tenable Vulnerability Management user experiences, and further maturing our WAS offering in the market. Remediation scans can be launched from the WAS Findings views within the WAS App.

Tenable is pleased to announce the General Availability of our new CI/CD Scanning Integration. This capability extends your ability to scan your web applications before being deployed in your production environments, minimizing exposure on published applications. You can integrate Tenable WAS Docker images with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI, or Bamboo to scan builds and prevent vulnerabilities before your code and applications are deployed. For more information, see CI/CD Application Scan Overview in the Tenable Web App Scanning User Guide.

Note: This feature is currently not available in Tenable Web App Scanning FedRAMP Moderate.

Tenable is pleased to announce the redesigned License Information page, which streamlines how you view cloud license details on the Tenable platform.

On the License Information page, you can:

  • In Tenable One only, use visual overviews by product or time period to spot trends.

  • View license information for all Tenable products in your cloud container.

  • View license usage snapshots, such as total assets or available assets.

  • View license resource counts for all your cloud products.

January 16, 2024

Tenable is pleased to announce the release of vulnerability state tracking. With this new feature, you can see whether vulnerabilities are new, active, fixed, or resurfaced—just like in Tenable Vulnerability Management.

As part of this release, Tenable Web App Scanning no longer displays non-VM data older than 90 days in WAS Findings. This data is only available in historical WAS scan results. For more information, see the documentation.

Tenable recommends that you run web application scans before January 16, 2024. By running scans, you can ensure that these results are available in the Web Applications Finding views once vulnerability state tracking is released.

Note: This feature is currently not available in Tenable Web App Scanning FedRAMP Moderate.
