Tenable Network Monitor 6.5.0 - 2024-09-24
Note: This release includes a fix for a potential vulnerability. For more information, see the Tenable Product Security Advisory.

The following are changed functionality and performance enhancements included in Tenable Network Monitor 6.5.0:

Updated the ACAS Classification field to not allow special characters that could be used in malicious scripting code.

Tenable Network Monitor High Performance Mode now supports Red Hat Linux 9.4.

Replaced the Windows wmic command in the backend.

Tenable now collects telemetry data from Tenable Network Monitor deployments.

Tenable Network Monitor 6.5.0 includes the following bug fixes:

Fixed an issue that allowed Tenable Network Monitor to download corrupt plugin and tar files.

Fixed an RBAC issue that allowed standard users to access administrator features.

Fixed an issue where users could select more than the maximum number of worker cores in High Performance Mode.

Tenable Network Monitor 6.4.1 - 2024-06-06

Tenable Network Monitor 6.4.1 includes the following bug fixes:

Fixed an issue where ACAS Classification banners did not appear in Tenable Network Monitor 6.4.0 due to a vulnerability fix for user-defined options. Tenable Network Monitor 6.4.0 and later versions do not show user defined options in the Tenable Network Monitor UI to prevent a malicious user from injecting scripting code into the Tenable Network Monitor web browser application.

Fixed an issue where running Tenable Network Monitor from the command line on a new Windows machine would display a wpcap.dll error.

Tenable Network Monitor 6.4.0 includes the following bug fix:

Tenable Network Monitor enables processing ERSPAN Type II traffic by default.
Tip: If you have ERSPAN Type II traffic in your feed and you upgrade to Tenable Network Monitor 6.4.0, Tenable recommends you remove all previous results and allow Tenable Network Monitor to rebuild its database.
