Export Findings

You can export data from the Findings page to CSV or JSON.

To export a list of findings:

  1. In the left navigation, click Explore (Preview) > Findings.

    The Findings page appears.

  2. Select the findings to export.

    Above the selected assets, the action bar apears.

  3. In the action bar, click Export.

    In the Export dialog that appears, set the following options.

    Option Description

    Name

    		Type a name for the export.
    Formats

    Select an export format:

    • CSV – A CSV file that you can open in a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel.

      Note: For findings exports, the system automatically trims cells longer than 32,000 characters so they appear correctly in Microsoft Excel. Select Untruncated Data to disable this.

      Note: If your export file contains a cell starting with any of the following characters (=, +, -, @), the system adds a single quote (') at the beginning of the cell. For more information, see the Knowledge Base.

    • JSON – A JSON file containing a nested list of findings.
    Configurations

    Search for and select the fields to include.

    Schedule

    Turn on the Schedule toggle and set the following options:

    1. Choose an export Start Date and Start Time.
    2. Choose a Time Zone.
    3. Under Frequency, choose how often want the export to repeat. Then, choose Repeat Every and Repeat By (for example, the fourth Monday of the month).
    4. Under Repeat Ends, choose when exports end. If you choose Never, the export repeats until you modify or delete it.
    Email Notifications

    Turn on the Email Notification toggle and set the following options:

    1. Under Add Recipients, type the emails to notify.
    2. Under Password, type a password for the export file which the recipient will need to enter.

  4. Click Export.

    The system processes the export and the file downloads to your computer. Processing may take several minutes.

    Tip: If you close the Export dialog before the download completes, access the export file in Settings > Exports.
