Host Audit Columns

The Host Audits table displays columns of information for each host audit finding. Use the Columns menu above the table to show or hide columns. The following table describes all available columns.

Column Default Visible Description
Asset ID No

The UUID of the asset where a scan detected the finding. This value is unique to Tenable Vulnerability Management.

Asset Name Yes

The asset name. A unique identifier that Tenable assigns based on the availability of the following attributes: Agent Name, Local hostname, NetBIOS Name, DNS (FQDN) (Fully Qualified Domain Name), IPv4 Address, and IPv6 Address.

Audit File Yes

The name of the audit file the scanner used to perform the compliance check.

Audit Name Yes

The name of the compliance check the scanner performed on the affected asset.

Control ID No

An ID for correlating results with other results that meet a certain benchmark recommendation. You can use this filter to identify checks in the audit portal.

Description No If present, a description of the audit check corresponding to the finding.
Finding ID No

The unique Tenable ID for the finding. To view the ID for a finding, click its details and check the page URL in your browser's address bar for an alphanumeric string between details and asset.

FQDNs Yes The fully qualified domain names (FQDNs) of the asset where the audit check ran.
IPv4 Addresses Yes The IPv4 address of the asset where the audit check ran.
Last Audited No Date of the most recent compliance check the scanner performed on the asset.
Operating Systems No

Indicates the operating system(s) installed on the asset, for example, Linux Kernel 3.13.

Original Result No The result from the initial audit.
Plugin Name Yes

The name of the plugin that performed the audit check. Hover on the icon to view a detailed summary.

Result Yes The current or modified result from the audit check.
Result Modified Expires No Date the modified compliance check result expires.
Result Modified Reason No Explanation for why the result of a compliance check was modified.
Tags Yes

Filter and organize assets into logical groups (e.g., Network: Headquarters) for easier management and reporting. This filter is case-sensitive. You can add a maximum of 100 tags.
